SUMMARY:Phase #2 - New Volunteer Orientation
DESCRIPTION:Hands On Learning and Connection\n\nThe New Volunteer Orientation is the next step after attending a Volunteer Open House. It is designed to help you feel prepared\, supported\, and connected as you begin your volunteer journey with Equellness. \nThis experience blends at home learning with in person\, hands on practice. Volunteers review the Volunteer Manual in advance and complete required reading and reflection questions on their own time. The in person session is then used to practice\, experience\, and ask questions in a supportive environment. \nDuring Orientation\, you will learn Equellness day to day volunteer procedures\, including sign in and sign out processes\, review the Volunteer Handbook and deepen your understanding of the material\, and explore the many ways to volunteer\, including opportunities beyond working directly with horses. You will also enjoy a gentle meet and greet with our equine herd\, guided by Equellness principles. \nThis session is interactive and supportive\, designed to bring the Equellness philosophy to life so that what you learn is not just understood\, but embodied and experienced together. \nWe are grateful for your interest in sharing your time and talents with Equellness. Together\, we create a safe and compassionate space where horses support growth\, strengthen connection\, and inspire well being. \nRegister Now

SUMMARY:Phase #3 - New and Existing Volunteer Training
DESCRIPTION:Skill Building in Practice\nThis training is the next step after completing New Volunteer Orientation and is open to both new and returning volunteers who are ready to deepen their skills through guided\, hands-on practice. \nBuilding on the foundations introduced in Orientation\, this session is active\, experiential\, and practice focused. Together\, we move from understanding into embodied skill\, awareness\, and belief in self. \nDuring Training\, volunteers learn and practice how to arrive prepared and grounded\, where to park and how to orient to the space\, safe haltering\, grooming\, and leading techniques\, basic tacking and equipment awareness\, and how to move together as a group with rhythm\, presence\, and awareness. \nThis training emphasizes learning by doing in real time. Through hands-on work with the horses and alongside fellow volunteers\, participants refine communication\, strengthen connection\, and develop confidence rooted in presence and safety. The focus is not only on technique\, but on relationships with the horses and with one another. \nWe are grateful for your interest in sharing your time and talents with Equellness. Together\, we create a safe and compassionate space where horses support growth\, strengthen connection\, and inspire well being. \nRegister Now

SUMMARY:Screening of Rescued Hearts Documentary - Horses for Mental Health Campaign
DESCRIPTION:Join us for an inspiring evening of connection and healing. \nEquellness\, in collaboration with Horses for Mental Health and Liberty Sanctuary\, invites you to a special screening of Rescued Hearts\, a powerful documentary exploring the profound bond between horses and humans. \nThe screening will take place on Thursday\, May 21st from 6-8pm at the Jim Santy Auditorium in Park City. Tickets are on sale for $20 to help cover costs. There will be a discussion afterwards with professionals so you can learn about healing with horses locally. \nRescued Hearts is a powerful 2-hour documentary that explores the profound and often miraculous connection between humans and horses. Inspired by a life-changing moment – when a 7-year-old child diagnosed with autism spoke his first words while interacting with a horse – filmmakers Dana Croschere and Krisanna Sexton set out to uncover the deeper meaning behind this extraordinary bond. Through deeply moving personal stories\, expert insights\, and heart-based research\, the film explores how horses offer a space where healing and transformation can unfold – a space where healing is never one-sided. Rescued Hearts isn’t just the story of horses – it’s the story of all of us\, offering an invitation for deeper connection with ourselves\, each other\, and all of nature. RescuedHeartsFilm.com \nThis special event is presented by The Equellness Center\, Liberty Sanctuary\, The Equine Empowerment Center and Horses For Mental Health. \nThere will be an informal discussion following the film allowing you to get to know local coaches and therapists who partner with horses in healing! \nViewer note: Rescued Hearts explores sensitive healing journeys that may not be suitable for very young children. \n\n\n\n\nGet Tickets!

SUMMARY:Guided Drumming Meditation with Horses - Open House
DESCRIPTION:Step into stillness – Presence in the Herd.\n  \nJoin Equellness for a curated\, two-hour open house experience that blends guided meditation\, live drumming\, and genuine connection with our herd. In the Year of the Horse\, we’re inviting you to meet these extraordinary animals not as observers but as participants in something quieter\, deeper\, and more grounding than your average morning. \nThis gathering is designed for adults who are new to Equellness and curious about what it means to be in relationship with horses. It’s intimate by design. There are no performances here\, no  packed schedules\, only space to arrive\, breathe\, and be present. \nWhat to Expect \n10:00 – 10:30 AM · Arrival & Welcome Settle in\, meet fellow participants\, and set a personal intention for the morning. This is your time to transition out of the week and into the experience. \n10:30 – 11:30 AM · The Main Experience Move through a guided meditation as our horses join the circle. Drumming deepens the rhythm of the moment\, and the herd responds\, offering co-regulation\, presence\, and their own kind of wisdom. This hour is the heart of the morning. \n11:30 – 12:00 PM · Integration & Community Reflect. Connect. Ground together. This closing time is unstructured and relational\, a chance to process what arose and carry it forward with you. \nA Note on Location \nTo protect the integrity of our healing space\, our herd\, and the experience itself\, the exact location is shared with registered participants only. You’ll receive full detail\,  including directions and parking via email after you complete registration. \nWhat to Wear \nCome dressed for the outdoors and whatever the morning brings. We recommend: \n\nClosed-toe shoes (required near the horses)\nComfortable\, layered clothing\nAnything that helps you feel at ease in your body\n\nDonation-Based Participation \nThis experience is offered on a donation basis\, with a suggested minimum of $10. Every contribution directly supports two things: our scholarship fund – making equine-assisted healing accessible to those who need it most and the ongoing care of our herd. \nYour presence is what matters. Your donation makes it possible for others to have this experience too. \nDonation link available at registration and on-site. \nCapacity & Waitlist \nThis gathering is capped at 15 participants – intentionally small\, intentionally personal. If the event is full when you register\, you’ll be added to the waitlist automatically and notified if a spot opens. \nThis event is brought to you in partnership with Horses for Mental Health. \nRegistration is required. Location provided after sign-up. \nRegister Now
