KinderHorse is designed to introduce and foster a variety of skills in a fun atmosphere for ages 2-5. Influenced by Waldorf Education, it combines horsemanship, group connection, life skills, and social-emotional learning. Children develop motor skills, imagination, and appreciation for nature through hands-on experiences. They learn horsemanship, responsibility, teamwork, and communication. The program emphasizes positive relationships, empathy, self-awareness, and emotion regulation. KinderHorse is a unique approach to early childhood development through horse interaction.
At KinderHorse, children learn horse care and engage in activities that develop motor skills, horsemanship, imagination, and appreciation for nature. They groom, lead horses, and learn about their behaviors. Imaginative activities, storytelling, and role-playing with horses are included. Hands-on experiences and sensory activities enhance learning. Sessions end with group reflection. KinderHorse encourages nature observation and fosters horse appreciation through play, creating a memorable and enjoyable experience.
KinderHorse offers a nurturing space for children to counter the pressures of life, connect with their bodies, and learn self-regulation. Through interactions with horses and nature, children can develop non-verbal communication, empathy, and creative connections. Our alternative platform fosters crucial social and emotional skills, promoting effective communication, collaboration, and teamwork.
At The Equellness Center, we provide a refuge where children learn self-regulation, connect with others, and explore the world through interactions with horses and nature. Our dedicated staff empower young people to develop social-emotional skills, fostering effective communication, empathy, and teamwork.
This program is designed for young children, ages 2-5 years old. Exposing young children to horses is important as it promotes a deep connection with nature, enhances their sensory experiences, and cultivates empathy and compassion. Interacting with horses also fosters physical development, builds confidence, and nurtures a sense of responsibility and respect for animals and the environment.
By blending the Waldorf education principle of deep connection with the natural world and the principles of Equine Assisted Learning, KinderHorse prioritizes the holistic development of children while engaging their imagination. This program recognizes the importance of nature in fostering children's cognitive, emotional, and physical development.
