Equellness Center Scholarship Program
At The Equellness Center, we believe finances should never stand in the way of growth, healing, and connection. Every child, teen, and adult deserves the opportunity to experience the life changing power of working with horses in a safe and supportive community. Thanks to the generosity of our donors and community partners, scholarship funds are available for participants who demonstrate financial need.
Scholarships cover a portion of program costs and are awarded based on available funding and a thoughtful review of each request. Receiving a scholarship in the past, or applying for one, does not guarantee future awards. We encourage families to contribute at a level that feels manageable, allowing financial support to extend to more participants.
Scholarship decisions are made without regard to age, sex, race, color, religion, national origin, disability (our programs are geared toward able bodied participants), sexual orientation, marital status, or veteran status. Rooted in connection, belonging, and opportunity, we remain committed to ensuring financial hardship does not prevent participation in the meaningful work that happens here.

Scholarship Application Process
Scholarships are not awarded on a first come, first served basis. For each program, we open a defined application window and review requests together on a rolling basis. This allows us to consider each family’s circumstances thoughtfully rather than making decisions based on who was able to apply first.
When reviewing applications, we look at demonstrated financial need, the potential impact of the program for the participant, and the scholarship funds available at that time. If resources are limited, priority may be given to families experiencing significant hardship or unexpected challenges.
Our intention is to steward scholarship funds with care and fairness, while honoring the dignity of every family. This process helps ensure access is guided by need and impact, not speed or access to information.
How to Apply
- Explore our children’s programs and choose the one that fits your child.
- Click the Scholarship button on the program page.
- Complete the online Scholarship Application form.
- Applications are reviewed weekly and families typically receive a decision within about one week.
- If approved, you will receive a scholarship code by email. The code will be active for 5 days.
- Use that code during regular registration to apply your scholarship.
There is no separate registration process for scholarship recipients.
Submitting a scholarship application does not reserve a program spot. A child’s place is secured only after registration is completed.
Application Timeline
Scholarship applications open when registration opens and remain available throughout the registration period.
Applications are reviewed weekly. Because scholarship funds are limited, some applications may be briefly held for additional review so requests can be considered fairly.
Final scholarship application deadline: May 1
Once scholarship funds have been allocated, additional applicants may be placed on a waitlist in case funds become available.
Scholarship Commitment
Because scholarship funds are limited, families receiving support agree to:
- Attend the full program or all scheduled dates
- Pay the agreed family portion by the stated deadline
- Complete all required registration forms prior to the program start
- Communicate promptly regarding attendance concerns or emergencies
The Equellness Center reserves the right to reassign scholarship funds if participation commitments are not met.
