Equellness Kids Summer Workshop
Equellness Kids Summer Workshop
A nature-based, 3 day workshop where children slow down, reconnect and build life skills through horses.
Guided by the calming presence of horses, children engage in horsemanship, Rhythmic Riding, mindful movement, creative arts, and outdoor exploration, strengthening empathy, belief-in-self, emotional regulation, and connection in a supportive, relationship-centered environment.
Join Us!
The Equellness Kids Summer Workshop offers a nurturing, nature-based experience where children unplug from daily pressures and engage fully in the present moment. Through horsemanship, mindful movement, art, and outdoor exploration, children develop emotional awareness, resilience, and meaningful connection—with themselves, others, and the natural world.
Our experiential approach blends joy and growth, allowing children to build life skills organically through relationship, rhythm, and embodied learning guided by horses.
Why Equellness?
Today’s youth face pressure to do more and be more, which often leads to stress and anxiety. Our center offers a refuge where children can:
Reconnect with body and breath
Develop emotional regulation and awareness
Experience calm, supportive rhythms
Our staff are guides, empowering children to explore the world. Through interactions with horses and nature, children:
Build non-verbal communication skills
Strengthen empathy and social awareness
Explore creative ways of connecting with others and horses
We create a sensory-rich environment where children develop life skills for communication, collaboration, and connection.
The three Golden rules of Waldorf Education are:
01
To receive the child in gratitude from the world they come from.
02
To educate the child with love
03
To lead the child into the true freedom which belongs to man.
Our Approach
Inspired by Waldorf principles and grounded in Equellness’s mission-driven work, our Summer Workshop offers an experience rooted in rhythm, ritual, and repetition. These elements create safety, predictability, and space for deep learning—while honoring each child’s individuality.
Rhythm
Flow and rhythm are woven into each day to support emotional regulation, group synchronicity, coordination, and sensory integration.
Ritual
Mindfulness, breath, and gratitude practices foster presence, respect for nature, and a sense of shared meaning.
Repetition
Repetition allows children to build mastery, trust, and belief-in-self within the comforting structure of the learning environment.
Side-by-Side Learning Experiences
Through immersive, hands-on experiences with horses, including Rhythmic Riding, children explore balance, intentional movement, and breath as tools for regulation, trust, and body awareness.
Through arts and crafts, children explore creative self-expression while strengthening verbal and non-verbal communication. These hands-on experiences support mindfulness, memory, and sustained attention, with Gratitude gently woven throughout.
