Kat Bergmann
Founder and Board Member
Katherine (Kat) Bergmann, founder and board member of the Equellness Center grew up in St. Louis Missouri with her parents and younger brother. She has grown up around horses her entire life and has firsthand experience with the transformative power that horses can have on individuals facing a range of challenges. At 35 years old and a mother of one, Kat understands the importance of creating a nurturing and supportive environment, both at home and in the workplace. She brings a wealth of experience in creating positive and meaningful relationships and is always eager to help others.
In addition to her work with horses, Kat is on a personal journey of recovery from substance abuse. She believes strongly in the importance of authenticity, family, trustworthiness, honesty, originality, sticking to one’s core beliefs, and utilizing boundaries to maintain a healthy and fulfilling life. Having a background in Fine Arts with an emphasis in Art History focused on Ancient Rome and Greece, Kat hopes to utilize those skills to help develop an art program within the facility by bringing the transformative power of creativity to those in need.
Overall, Kat is a compassionate and driven individual with a deep commitment to helping others. She does so by bringing a unique set of skills and experience to work and is always looking for new ways to make a positive impact in the lives around her.
